Do you need a word for word transcription of your recorded interviews, presentations or the like?
Italesat transcribes audio files in Danish, English, Italian and Spanish. There are native speaking freelancers who collaborate closely with me.
No matter whether I do the transcriptions myself or use a freelancer, you will only have one contact person to deal with, namely me (I only speak Danish and English fluently), and transcriptions will always be proofread and double-checked. Confidentiality is guaranteed – there will never be more than two sets of eyes on your material and everything is completely deleted once the job is delivered.
I have an MA in Philosophy and Danish Language plus a broad experience working in and transcribing for all kinds of different businesses. Our wide experience guarantees a high understanding of what most people are talking about regardless of the subject.
Prices and practical information
Transcribing is a time-consuming job. On average it takes 5-6 hours to transcribe 1 hour of recording provided that only 1 person is being interviewed and that sound quality and the speed of the persons speaking is reasonable. A recording that meets these conditions costs 200 Euro (1500 DKK) per recorded hour. (If you are a Danish customer this price does not include the 25% VAT). The price is for the actual number of minutes only. For example, a recording of 26 minutes costs 607 DKK (86,5 Euro) plus VAT.
In the case of group interviews, interviews with bad sound quality, lots of background noise or people speaking very quickly (at more than 180 words per minute), etc, please send me the file and I shall listen to it and send you a quote based on the estimated time spent transcribing.
Audio files are often too big to be sent via e-mail. Mailing CDs are an option but not the best or quickest way. You can for instance use

Formats: I need the file in one of the following formats: WMA, WAV or DSS. I can convert MP3 files for you at a cost of 50 DKK (6,5 Euros) per file. I charge 525 DKK (70 Euros) for converting other formats regardless of the number of files.
